• Ivette Torres plays music every single day of her life. An elementary school teacher in Jamaica, Queens N.Y. Ivette is currently teaching Bilingual Language Arts through music. Through poetry, song and dance she helps her students to develop their literacy skills in both English and Spanish. She is also involved in organizing school performances, where she and the children perform songs and dances for their fellow classmates, parents, teachers, and administrators. When not at her "day job" she is singer/songwriter, keyboardist, rhythm guitarist, programmer, and Producer of her band Corrientes. Place a special emphasis on producer. Owning all her own pro studio equipment she records and mixes the tracks getting them ready to master. Even while working on the current tracks, there is always a fresh, new song in the works |
