I
am always reading magazines, books, and inquiring on
recording forums about different equipment and recording techniques
that will help me to enhance our recordings. Sometimes, I find answers
to things I wasn't even searching to find answers to, but they somehow
applied to me anyway.
Besides the actual songwriting and performing, I am very much devoted to the engineering/production end of things. I am continuously learning new things about recording. I am going to use this section of the website to describe equipment being used as well as recording techniques that I am using. I personally like to come at each song that I write from a different angle, and the recording techniques used also play a role in achieving this. Through the knowledge of different techniques you are more equipped to reach the desired overall outcome of each individual song. Experimentation is important too, because you may discover something you didn't know before. Sometimes through experimentation, I end up creating something I didn't envision, however, I am content with the results. |
